Description

Summary

Hello React team,

I would like to propose contributing a Spanish translation for the following React reference page:

This page currently exists in English, but there is no corresponding Spanish version on es.react.dev.

Scope

  • Translate this single reference page into Spanish
  • No changes to the original meaning or structure
  • Follow terminology already used in Spanish React documentation

Contribution approach

  • One small pull request limited to this page
  • Translation only (no technical or semantic changes)

Before starting, I would like to confirm:

  1. Whether translating this reference page aligns with the current translation workflow
  2. If there are any specific guidelines or tooling I should follow for reference API translations

Thank you for your time and guidance.

Details

when reviewing the Spanish version of React documentation available at https://es.react.dev , I observed that the vast majority of pages are correctly and consistently translated into Spanish. However, I noticed that the reference page https://es.react.dev/reference/react/useActionState remains entirely in English. At the same time, the React website’s translation overview page (https://react.dev/community/translations) indicates that Spanish is listed as a fully supported translation. This creates an inconsistency between the stated translation status and the actual content available in the Spanish documentation, suggesting that this specific reference page has not yet been translated despite Spanish being marked as complete.

Research direction

Compare the English useActionState reference at react.dev/reference/react/useActionState with its Spanish URL at es.react.dev/reference/react/useActionState, then review the translation workflow and terminology used in the Spanish React documentation. Done means the single reference page is translated into Spanish while preserving the original meaning and structure.
