Creating a folder while in the "Save sketch folder as" crashes the program, loses work

I'm on windows 11

I just downloaded & installed with typical settings to showing someone new to programming, and when I went to save their work, I created a new sub directory to put their saves and when I clicked enter after renaming the new folder the program crashed, the work was lost, and the folder reverted to "New folder"
