Research direction

The issue names no files, tests, or entry points. Start by locating the existing Numba CUDA JIT support and reviewing how device APIs are exposed, then compare the requirements for Triton JIT with PyTorch. Done should mean Triton JIT support is available for the relevant device APIs, with coverage for the supported use cases.
