Description

Currently there's tornado_http but there's loads of high quality benchmarks for asyncio clients and servers

https://magic.io/blog/uvloop-blazing-fast-python-networking/

I also want to see if it's possible to make SelectorEventLoop perform faster than uvloop

Research direction

Start by locating the existing tornado_http benchmark in the pyperformance suite and review the asyncio client and server examples referenced in the issue and linked uvloop article. Define benchmark cases for those HTTP workloads and determine how SelectorEventLoop and uvloop should be compared. Done means the new benchmarks run through the suite and produce comparable results.
