Description

Is there a simple(ish) way to provide a custom shader? For instance, if I want to visualize a PQ function over a mesh rather than the default PL one.

Research direction

Start by reviewing the existing mesh visualization and shader or material entry points to determine whether custom shaders are supported. Compare the default PL visualization with the requested PQ function over a mesh, then define the API and usage needed for custom shader input. Done means a documented, working way to render a mesh with a custom shader.
