Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Distribution of python mcp servers is not possible via pypi.
Describe the solution you'd like
Right now we can install mcp servers like:
uv run --with mcp[cli] mcp install server.py but that means that the mcp server
has to exist locally
but it'd be helpful to be able to do:
uv run --with mcp[cli], cratedb-mcp install cratedb-mcp, where cratedb-mcp is a mcp server available in pypi, installed with the uv run --with commands.
