Unable to connecto to the Github API, please check your internet connection. [Mac]

**Describe the bug**
The extension is unable to connect to github

Github copilot is able to connect without issue. I'm fairly certain Github Pull Requests also works fine.

**To Reproduce**
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
1. Install extension (on Mac?)
2. Try and use extension

**Expected behavior**
The extension should be able to access Github API

`v0.26.3`

**Additional context**
- I've added `"git.enabled": true` to my config
- I am not using a proxy or a VPN
- Running on macOS

Start by reproducing the failure on macOS with extension version v0.26.3, using the issue's installation and usage steps, then inspect the extension's connection error and available logs. Done means the extension can access the GitHub API without showing the reported connection message.
