Github background info keeps on loading

Issue persists even if I change browser. I have tried restarting machine and done multiple logins . Still the issue persists.]

Also my profile drop-down is giving this error "Sorry, something went wrong."

Done means the background information loads and the profile dropdown no longer reports an error across the browser and login conditions described.
