Github background info keeps on loading

Issue persists even if I change browser. I have tried restarting machine and done multiple logins . Still the issue persists.]

Also my profile drop-down is giving this error "Sorry, something went wrong."

Start by reproducing the persistent loading state and the profile dropdown error in a browser, then trace the GitHub background-information and profile-dropdown entry points. Done means the background information loads and the profile dropdown no longer reports an error across the browser and login conditions described.
