Range Selector buttons causes view to go out of bounds

To reproduce:

1. Go to Plotly range selector documentation
2. Drag the end of the range slider towards the start, so that the range is less than 6 months
3. Click on the 6m button
4. The view and slider are now overly expanded, with empty space. And the bounds are set beyond their original scope.

Interesting to note, however, is that the Other official plotly example, this does not occur. Is there a different version?
