ggplotly does not preserve arrows created using geom_segment

If I plot arrows using geom_segment() in ggplot and then convert the plot with ggplotly, the line segment is preserved as expected but the arrows are not. See example below:

Before: We have line segments and arrows.

After: We have line segments but NO arrows.

Start by running the supplied R example with geom_segment() and ggplotly() to reproduce the missing arrows. Trace how ggplotly converts geom_segment layers, then verify that the converted plot preserves the arrows as well as the line segments.
