Hi VS Code dev here 👋

As mentioned in microsoft/vscode#101429

We have change the noCompact flag to be compact flag and thus the default value is to not compact sessions. So this is opt-in. And we have changed that the name of the child session is displayed.

What I suggest python does:

  • Opts-into this behavior by passing compact: true to the debugSessionOptions in startDebugging
  • Improve the names of child sessions: for example to be NAME_OF_CONFIG + process ID
