Seems to be similar issue to #3409 (though no idea if same cause) but as of a couple of hours ago I kept getting this:
Clicking Allow opens browser to the GH authentication page then ends up here:
But nothing much seems to happen as a result of this... clicking the link does nothing unless I have VSC closed, in which case it just opens VSC whereupon I get the same 'The extension 'GitHub Pull Requests' wants you to sign in again using GitHub.' modal again

まず、macOS 上の VS Code 1.123.2 で GitHub Pull Requests 0.148.0 を使用して、報告に示された callback の動作に従い、サインインフローが繰り返される問題を再現します。症状を issue #3409 と比較し、コメントスレッドを調べて、確認済みの原因や再現の詳細を確認します。ブラウザーの callback によって認証が完了し、サインインモーダルが再び表示されなくなれば完了です。
