**What is linked from launch badge in Readme doesn't currently build on MyBinder**

It seems it isn't properly seeing `package.json` for some reason..

## Steps to reproduce
Go to the main repo Readme page [here](https://github.com/matplotlib/ipympl#ipympl) and click the `launch binder` badge.

The end of a build example that fails is shown below (`...` on first line represents start of the log that is not shown):

Bắt đầu từ huy hiệu Launch Binder trong README của repository và kiểm tra lệnh .binder/postBuild được hiển thị trong nhật ký lỗi. Tái hiện quá trình build và điều tra lý do /home/jovyan/ipympl/package.json bị thiếu khi extension của JupyterLab được build. Công việc được xem là hoàn tất khi Binder build hoàn tất thành công từ huy hiệu được liên kết.

Do mô hình lập chỉ mục viết ra từ nội dung của issue.
