Research direction

Start by reviewing Xreader's existing color-inverse mode and compare its behavior with zathura's recolor mode, as referenced in the issue. Determine how custom font and background colors should interact with document rendering, then define completion as working user-configurable colors across supported documents with appropriate validation and tests.

Description

FEATURE REQUEST

Hello!

Can you implement custom font and background colors, please? There are many open requests in the internet about this feature in evince, but the author decided to not implement it in favour of color inverse mode.

You can check "zathura" (another reader) recolor mode.
