Is it possible to retrieve the build user?

Is it possible to retrieve the build user (possibly as the BUILD_USER environment variable) associated with a given build? The BuildWithDetails object does not appear to provide it.

Start by examining BuildWithDetails and the client API paths that construct or expose it, then check how Jenkins represents the user associated with a build. Confirm the expected behavior against a build with a known user; done means the client can retrieve that user or clearly documents why it cannot.
