removing `packageMangager` from package.json seems to work

we should check this against and cca, cia

Start with package.json and reproduce the failure using the reported global Yarn 1.22.22, then compare behavior with Corepack enabled. Check the issue against cca and cia as requested; done means the documented project usage no longer breaks because of the packageManager setting.
