ARGH! Copilot app keeps randomly starting a new Chat and jumping to it!

I just updated to v1.1.12.
Now, every 30 seconds or so while I'm typing in a session, Copilot starts a "New chat" and jumps to it, but there is nothing inside the "New chat". All I see is "Starting session" and then nothing.

This is driving me nutz!

Reproduce the issue on v1.1.12 by typing in an existing Copilot session and observing whether a new chat opens about every 30 seconds. Trace the session-start and chat-navigation entry points involved; done means the app no longer opens unsolicited empty chats while typing and the active session continues normally.
