Description

The auto model choice recently matched me with Claude Haiku. Even with complex tasks, the reasoning en reponses of Haiku do not match the quality I expect. It also uses a lot of icons in it's response, making them hard to read. I allways need to switch to a medium teer model just to get another summary which is readable, because I'm to annoyed with the kinder garden icons.

Research direction

Start at the /chat entry point and reproduce the automatic model choice in app version 1.1.3 on Windows 10, comparing the Haiku response with the medium-tier model. The issue does not name a source file or test, and completion criteria for model selection and response formatting need to be defined before implementation.
