I'm noticing local branches just stick around.

I'm noticing local branches just stick around. I'm not sure what my workflow is supposed to be. I do a task in the worktree, have it merged, and archive the chat. I have instructions that say to delete the local branch when finished, but it can't because the worktree is still live (presumably until I archive it?)

Start at the /chat workflow and reproduce the reported sequence: complete a task in a worktree, merge it, and archive the chat. Trace when the worktree and local branch are released, then check the relevant existing tests or lifecycle entry points. Done means the expected cleanup behavior is clear and the local branch no longer remains unexpectedly after the workflow completes.
