I was trying to open a session on a popular open source k8s repo Kueue. It seems like when the repo has a ton of skills it can take an extremely long time to do a session start. Either we should cut down on loading to start the session or make it obvious to the user whats happening

Reproduce session startup from /chat using the Kueue repository, especially one with many skills, and observe where the delay occurs. Determine whether the intended outcome is less work during startup or clearer progress for the user; done means the session start is measurably improved or its waiting state is obvious.
