Like in Claude Code, it would be good to be able to press esc+esc in order to clear current input text box, and if clear, to go back to a a prior message/fs state.

Start at the /chat path and review the input box behavior described in the issue. Define double-Escape behavior for clearing current input and, when already clear, restoring a prior message/filesystem state; done means both states work as requested.
