Hide status bar and navigation bar on keyboard input?

I am shown the status bar and navigation bar when the keyboard is shown. And after keyboard is closed, the navigation bar and status bar is still visible until I restart the app.

Is it possible to completely disable the status and navigation bar, even when the keyboard is visible?

If not, is it possible to have it automatically hidden after keyboard closes?
