Should this be maintained by Microsoft?

It's been stated a few times that this project needs a new maintainer, and it's consistently out of date compared to upstream.

Should flatpak be an officially supported vscode distribution? I asked Microsoft and they said "no" but if the flatpak users think it's a good idea then comment on https://github.com/microsoft/vscode/issues/171870

I'm curious to hear if anyone has thoughts on this too
