Description

It would be great if notes could be made to stick to a specific link on a page. I'd like to be able to tag jira issues and stuff.

ie: on a page containing a list of issues that can be sorted by clicking on column headers, my notes will not be displayed properly after a sort. It would be nice if they showed up relative to the link I added them to (which is simply an tag with a unique target location).

It would really be a great enhancement if this could be done and would add value to advertising sites, study course catalogs library catalogs, gitHub ;-) and all sorts of sites where a list (or table) of links is displayed and user-sortable.

Research direction

The issue does not name files, entry points, or tests. Start by tracing how Floatnotes associates notes with page positions and how it handles dynamic link lists; the change is done when a note remains attached to its unique link target after the page list is sorted.
