lambda extension for appconfig

I'm trying to write an lambda extension for retrieving appconfig config for a specific version, since none currently exists with that feature (specifying older versions).

Why doesn't your appconfig example show the extension code? It only shows the client code?

It would be great if appconfig team added a parameter for the "version" for an appconfig release. Before I write my own, is that feedback the team would be willing to accept?

Review the existing AppConfig example and the repository's Lambda extension samples first; the issue names no files or tests. Clarify whether the expected work is an example extension, support for retrieving a specified AppConfig release version, or feedback for the AppConfig team before defining what done means.
