How is "inputs" & "outputs" are different?

I am able to connect two nodes irrespective of that they both have only "input" nodes.

Bug -
Now if I have a link: { input: "port-4138", output: "**port-4076**" }
And a node with inputs: {id: "**port-4076**", alignment: "left"}

Try to delete this node.. you will get an error as removeNode function doesn't delete the link.
