Description
In the future, we need to consider how to handle parentage validation. For example, if ACKnowledge identifies a paper as positive for the parent term Pseudomonas aeruginosa and ABC identifies it as positive for the child term Pseudomonas aeruginosa PA14, that does not necessarily mean ACKnowledge was incorrect.

Research direction
The issue names no files, tests, or entry points. Start by locating the existing validation flow and how parent and child terms are represented, then clarify the expected behavior for ACKnowledge and ABC results. Done should include an agreed validation rule and tests covering the parent-child example.
