Mercenary Display an Calculation

Describe the solution you'd like

1. User Interface in the Party Tab (Party -> Mercenary)

Inside the existing Party tab, there would be a dedicated sub-section or drop-down menu titled "Mercenary / Companion Configuration".

  • Preset Selection & Import:

    • Presets: Pre-built archetypes (e.g., Aura-Bot Merc, Curse/Debuff Merc, Warcry Tank).

    • Custom Import: Option to load a separate Mercenary PoB build via a build code or profile link.

  • Status Toggle: A simple checkbox: "Include Mercenary Buffs in Main Character Calcs" to quickly toggle the impact on your main character on and off.

2. Equipment & Skills (Equipment & Skills)

Since mercenaries wear their own gear, PoB would need a compact inventory window within this configuration:

Gear Slots
  • Dedicated Inventory: Slots for Main Hand/Off-Hand, Helmet, Body Armour, Gloves, Boots, and Jewelry.

  • Stat Validation: PoB would automatically check if the Mercenary meets the Attribute Requirements (Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence) for the equipped items.

  • Item Synergies: Gear mods like "Nearby Enemies have -9% Fire Resistance" (Helmet) or "Curse Enemies with Vulnerability on Hit" (Gloves) are tracked directly on the Mercenary.

Skill Selection & Gem Links
  • Skill Slots: Assigning active Mercenary skills (e.g., specific Auras, Warcries, Taunts, Exposure skills).

  • Support Gems: Linking support gems (e.g., Generosity Support for Auras or Increased Area of Effect Support for Curses).

3. Calculations & Main Character Impact (Calcs)

The biggest benefit would be the automatic calculation of Mercenary effects applied to your main character:

  • Offensive Impact (DPS):

    • Auras & Ailments: Direct calculation of active Auras (Hatred, Precision, etc.), Elemental Exposure, and Wither stacks.

    • Debuffs: Automatic application of Curses and Shock percentages inflicted by the Mercenary.

  • Defensive Impact (EHP):

    • Defensive Auras: Inclusion of Grace, Determination, or Purity of Elements.

    • Crowd Control & Aggro: Factoring in Taunt mechanics (enemies dealing reduced damage to the player) or damage mitigation buffs.

4. Mercenary Survival Check (Mercenary Stats)

A useful addition would be a small stat overview dedicated to the Mercenary's own survivability:

Stat | Mercenary Window Display -- | -- Max Life / ES | `4,800 Life Resistances | 75% Fire / 75% Cold / 75% Lightning / 20% Chaos Effective EHP | 32,500 EHP (Survival check for T16 / Uber Bosses)

Research direction

Start by reviewing the existing Party, Equipment, Skills, and Calcs areas named in the request, then determine how mercenary presets, imported builds, gear, skills, and effects would fit together. Clarify the smallest deliverable and acceptance criteria with maintainers before implementation; done would require an agreed scope covering the UI and resulting main-character calculations.
