let's start considering the types of research and analysis that is already done in this industry (ie https://www.sharpfootballanalysis.com/content/) and what maybe we want to get out of this. right now, it's sufficient to think of this as "a simple project where we house current and historical NFL (US) data, and provide a simple REST API for its consumption".
