Feature Request: area-weighted analysis

Please include area-weighted quantities (instead of giving each point a weight of one, since this is not robust to arbitrary sampling) in network-wide analyses since, these quantities are more biologically relevant. See figure 4C from the [SLAVV methods paper preprint](https://www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/2020.06.15.151076v2) for example area-weighted histograms.
