Feature Request: Option to suppress the "Old Java Runtime" warning
I am using the Project Manager for Java extension in VS Code, and I frequently work with older JDK versions intentionally (for example, maintaining legacy applications or matching production environments).
Currently, the extension displays a popup warning every time a workspace opens:
"This project is using an older Java runtime…"
This popup cannot be disabled, and it appears even when the older JDK is intentionally used. This becomes disruptive when switching between multiple projects or reopening the editor.
Request
Please add a setting such as:
"java.runtime.ignoreVersionWarning": true
or any equivalent option that allows users to suppress this warning permanently.
Why this matters
- Many developers maintain legacy Java applications.
- Some teams must use older JDKs due to production constraints.
- The popup appears repeatedly and interrupts workflow.
- Other VS Code extensions allow disabling similar warnings.
This small setting would greatly improve usability for developers who intentionally use older Java versions.
