Description

Once the clreq document is mature enough, we can consider creating a FAQ document to help users quickly find answers to common questions without having to search the entire document.

It can include some common text layout questions, such as:

  • What are the main differences between Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese composition rules?
  • How to deal with mixed Chinese and Western composition?
  • How to choose vertical and horizontal writing mode?
  • What are the differences in the handling of punctuation marks in Mainland China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong?

Research direction

Start by reviewing the clreq document and the listed common questions to determine which answers are already covered and what scope the FAQ should have. Done means producing a FAQ document that addresses the proposed Chinese text layout topics without requiring users to search the full document.
