How to convert signed values into TUint8?

TUint8 represents an unsigned 8-bit value. Java doesn't support unsigned values natively, so I was hoping that the the API would provide a mechanism for convert signed types (like int) into an unsigned byte.
Are we supposed to use an external library like https://guava.dev/releases/29.0-jre/api/docs/com/google/common/primitives/UnsignedBytes.html?
Either way, I encourage you to link to the mechanism of choice from the Javadoc for TUint8 to improve API "discoverability". Thank you.
