Description

I really appreciate all the effort put into supporting Java in VS Code. I was wondering if there are any improvements that could be made to enhance the time to first interaction (TTFI) when reopening projects that have already been imported, rather than on the initial import?

Research direction

Start by reproducing the time to first interaction when reopening a previously imported Java project in VS Code, comparing it with the initial import flow. Identify the project entry point responsible for reopening and measure where startup time is spent. Done means a documented, measurable improvement to reopening TTFI.
