Research direction
Start by reproducing the slow code recommendations in a large project on Windows 11 with JDK 8 and review how the VS Code Java extension selects a JDK per project. Clarify separate requirements for completion performance and project-specific JDK configuration; done means each has a reproducible result and an agreed scope for follow-up.
