Research direction

No source file, test, logs, or sample project is provided, and the issue template directs running or debugging Java questions to vscode-java-debug. First verify the problem there using Windows 10, JDK 16.0.1, and the supplied jar with and without --enable-preview. Done requires a reproducible report with a defined component and expected behavior.
