Description

Description

On React Native 0.81.0 (Android only), setting color: 'transparent' on a component does not work as expected. The text is still visible instead of being transparent.

Steps to reproduce
  1. Create a simple React Native app with a component.
  2. Apply style={{ color: 'transparent' }}.
  3. Run on Android.
React Native Version

0.81.0

Affected Platforms

Runtime - Android

Research direction

Run the mandatory reproducer at https://github.com/restarajat/test-app.git on Android with React Native 0.81.0, then trace the Android rendering path for the component and its transparent color style. Done means the text is not visibly rendered on Android while the reported iOS behavior remains unaffected, with coverage added if the relevant test location is identified.
