Description
Currently, the trail will have edges at the ends if you use the component with a gap. There should be an option to make the trail round, too: https://imgur.com/7gqxDbj

Research direction
Start by locating the trail component and its existing gap-related option in the TypeScript source, then inspect how the SVG ends are rendered. Confirm the expected round-cap behavior from the linked image and check the existing test setup if present. Done means a configurable cap option produces round ends when a gap is used without changing the default appearance.
