Description
Hi, a few of us heavy Sphinx users are worried about the lack of activity over the last 5 months. @jdillard did some archaeology and saw that Adam (not pinging here out of courtesy in case they've got bigger stuff to worry about) has joined your meetings in the past. Just doing my part to get the discussions rolling and ensure that the project remains active and healthy. https://github.com/orgs/sphinx-doc/discussions/14432

Read the issue discussion and the linked Sphinx discussion at https://github.com/orgs/sphinx-doc/discussions/14432 to understand the concerns about activity and project health. There are no files or tests named; done would require a concrete, agreed follow-up rather than a code change.
