Start by reproducing the problem in Python's IDLE dialogs on macOS, the only component identified by the issue. Inspect the IDLE dialog and keyboard-handling code after locating it from the component reference. Done means standard keystrokes are recognized consistently in those dialogs and the behavior is covered by an appropriate test.
