Description

Select the type of content error.

Factual Mistake

Section

Other (specify if possible), Homepage

Location of the error

https://processing.org/ and https://snapcraft.io/processing and https://snapcraft.io/processing

Describe the error

https://processing.org/, https://snapcraft.io/processing and https://snapcraft.io/processing have prominent links to "download" but clicking on it doesn't redirect to a page for downloading the program but for installing it.

Suggested correction

Link to a download page, like in "the old days", instead of providing an install button, that does god knows what.

Research direction

Start by opening the homepage and Snapcraft links listed in the issue, then locate the prominent “download” links in the processing.org website source. Check how those links currently behave and identify the intended download destination; the work is done when the links consistently lead to a page for downloading Processing rather than an installation action.
