Description

Parallel to https://github.com/processing/p5.js/issues/9033, I believe all repos under processing organization needs the same base level of hardening for CI pipepilines.

The work will be done in multiple parts:

  • Initial pinning of existing dependencies - similar to https://github.com/processing/p5.js/pull/9032
  • Configuring an auto update mechanism, preferably with Renovate
  • Enforcing best practices with zizmor and applying the missing fixes

Research direction

Start by inspecting the repository's GitHub Actions workflow files and compare the requested work with processing/p5.js#9033 and pull request 9032. Done means existing dependencies are pinned, an automatic update mechanism is configured, and zizmor-reported best-practice fixes are applied across the workflows.
