Description

  1. Make analysis runner CLI support --cloud environment
  2. Go through analysis-runner/server to ensure anywhere a cloud environment is used, it's implemented
  3. Ensure deploy config is set per cloud to actually submit to hail.popgen / azhail.popgen
  4. In deploy_server GitHub workflow, tag and push images to both GCP and Azure

Later stuff:

  • Any images that get build in populationgenomics/images actually push to GCP and Azure

Research direction

Start with the analysis-runner CLI and the analysis-runner/server paths, then inspect the deploy_server GitHub workflow. Trace how the cloud environment selects deployment configuration and image destinations for hail.popgen and azhail.popgen. Done means the CLI supports --cloud, both cloud submissions work, and deploy_server tags and pushes images to GCP and Azure; the later populationgenomics/images work is separate.
