Description

Behaviour: when add_hline() or add_vline() are called with np.nan, a diagonal line is rendered (perhaps because np.nan is a float?)
Expected: possibly raise an exception?

Research direction

Start by reproducing the minimal example with Plotly's add_hline() and add_vline() entry points using np.nan. Trace how those calls handle the value and determine the intended behavior, then add regression coverage showing that the diagonal line is no longer rendered and that the chosen invalid-input behavior is consistent.
