Description

I`m using plotly 5.17.0.

Using the following code:

import plotly.graph_objects as go

fig = go.Figure()

fig.add_trace(go.Funnel(
    name='X',
    y=["A", "B", "C"],
    x=[40, 30, 20],
    texttemplate="%{value}<br>%{percentPrevious}<br>%{percentTotal}"))

fig.show()

It gives the following result:

My percentTotal is not shown like percentPrevious. Is this by design?

Research direction

Start by running the provided Plotly 5.17.0 funnel reproduction and inspect the rendered text for percentPrevious versus percentTotal. Confirm whether percentTotal should render as a percentage; done when the behavior is corrected or its intentional behavior is clearly documented.
