Description

Plotly Go Scatter Plot Figures allow you to add the parameter to hover over the filled area to see hover text information (specifically called hoveron). See Select Hover Points in documentation. This is not an option as of yet for Plotly Express Filled Area Charts, but would be very beneficial to include.

Research direction

Start with the Plotly Express filled area chart entry point and compare its generated figure with the Go Scatter Plot behavior described in the linked Select Hover Points documentation. Confirm that filled area charts expose the requested hoveron behavior and add coverage for the resulting hover text interaction.
