Description

If legend is anchored to container (legend.xref: 'container') then Y axis title is misplaced.
The title's x coordinate is equal to the legend's right border x coordinate even when this moves the title into the paper area.
This happens for any margin.autoexpand value.

Example: codepen.

Research direction

Start with the linked CodePen reproduction and search the plotly.js source for legend.xref handling and Y-axis title positioning. Compare charts with the legend anchored to the container across different margin.autoexpand values; done means the Y-axis title remains correctly positioned outside the paper area.
