Pie chart not displaying when plotting big and small numbers at the same time.

When I plot a piechart, if there is a number much larger than another one (by a factor 100 000 000), no piechart is displayed.
If I then unselect one of the value, the piechart is displayed.
If i reduce the factor between the two numbers, the piechart is displayed as well.

Start with the linked jsfiddle reproduction and the Plotly.newPlot entry point, then trace how pie-chart values are processed when their magnitudes differ greatly. Confirm the failure with [1, 1e-8] and compare it with the working cases described in the issue. Done means the chart renders with both values selected and the regression is covered by the relevant existing test if one is found.
