Description

Double-clicking on a zoomed heat map is supposed to return to the default, zoomed-out, view. It does so only intermittently. I can't find a pattern so I can't supply a MWE. My heat map is a subplot. MacBook Pro, MacOS 12.5, Firefox 110.0.1, Python bindings.

Research direction

Start by reproducing the intermittent double-click behavior on a zoomed heat-map subplot in Firefox 110 on macOS 12.5, using the Python bindings context described in the issue. Trace the chart's double-click and zoom-reset entry points and compare them with the OS double-click interval; done means the default zoomed-out view is restored consistently within that interval.
